About ICASP

This website archives the Improvisation, Community, And, Social Practice (ICASP) project (2007-13), which explored musical improvisation as a model for social change and helped to develop the field of Critical Studies in Improvisation. In 2013 this field was formalized with the creation of the International Institute for Critical Studies in Improvisation (IICSI). Please visit the IICSI website for current activity.
